From child safety classes to handling reactive dogs, our aim is to provide affordable, expert solutions that build trust and confidence between you and your dog. Child Safety Classes – £10 per child

With a 26% rise in dog bites among children since 2020, it’s more important than ever to educate children about dog behaviour. Our child safety classes teach children aged 6–12 how to safely interact with dogs, focusing on body language, how to greet a dog, and what to do in challenging situations. Classes are fun, interactive, and held at village halls across Leicestershire and Rutland. A parent or guardian must accompany children, though adults don’t need a ticket. No real dogs are present in these sessions, ensuring a safe and educational environment.

Junior Handler Workshop– £30

This workshop is for older children to build a better understanding of dogs communication and behaviour. This course covers in detail safe handling for children who maybe taking the responsibility of walking their family dog. If you are getting a rescue or new dog. This is a more practical works shop with theory and practical components held in a safe and secure environment.

Dog Walking – Starting from £12

Our dog walking service is ideal for dogs that need a little adventure during the day. For £12 per 30-minute walk, we provide your dog with a safe and enjoyable outing while you’re at work or away. We tailor these walks to suit your dog’s specific needs and personality, ensuring they receive the right amount of exercise and stimulation. Every dog is unique, and we offer a free assessment to create a personalised walking plan for your dog.

Specialised Dog Sessions –
£30 per hour

If your dog has a high drive or behavioural issues, finding the right person to walk them can be challenging. At Lady’s K9 Academy, we specialise in working with reactive dogs that need careful handling. Our qualified handlers are skilled in recognising triggers and managing the environment to ensure a safe and positive experience for your dog. While we provide expert care and tailored sessions, we are not canine behaviourist trainers. If your dog requires specialist behavioural training, we will help you find a suitably qualified and registered professional, free of charge. Whether it’s helping with at-home behaviours, navigating busy areas, or managing reactivity, we tailor our sessions to your dog’s needs. Contact us for a free assessment and a customised plan.

Reactive Dog Workshop – £30 to £40
per dog

Led by our lead handler, this workshop helps dogs that struggle with reactivity. Split into two levels, the workshop offers structured, managed exposure to varied environments, with exercises to build both the dog’s and owner’s confidence. Ideal for dogs that can’t yet handle pack walks, these sessions take place within 30 minutes of Melton Mowbray and Leicester. Level 1 starts at £30, and Level 2, which includes a stooge dog and more complex exercises, is £40.

More About the Reactive Dog Workshop

Each level of the Reactive Dog Workshop is limited to six dogs to ensure individual attention and safety. You can repeat Level 1 as needed before progressing to Level 2. To ensure the workshop suits your dog’s specific needs, we ask that you complete a downloadable form upon booking. Our team will assess your dog’s type of reactivity and ensure the right balance of participants. If necessary, we will arrange a free assessment before confirming your place. After completing both levels, you’re invited to a monthly social doggy day out to track progress and celebrate achievements.
